Carrying the Torch: Remembering Grand Tuhon Supremo Leopoldo T. Gaje Jr.
On September 25, 2026, Grand Tuhon Supremo Leopoldo Tortal Gaje Jr. passed away in the Philippines at the age of 88. Stop the Bleed 2026
September is National Preparedness Month, and every year we use it to run Stop the Bleed. Uncontrolled bleeding is one of the leading causes of preventable death after injury, and most of those deaths happen before anyone reaches a hospital. Combat Geometry 101 Workshops
Filipino Martial Arts is built on angles. Where you stand, where you step, and the line your weapon travels. In Pekiti Tirsia the footwork follows triangles and the strikes are numbered because each one is a specific line. Combat Geometry 101 is our new one day workshop covering triangle footwork, single stick striking, and the basic logic of the blade, based on the principles in Visualizing Flow: A Pekiti Tirsia Kali Training Companion published in 2020.
