Training Journey:
• With more than 30 years in martial arts, Delores’s journey reflects both achievement and growth. She holds a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and represented the United States on Junior and Senior National Teams, competing in three U.S. Olympic Festivals and two World Championships.
• Her path later brought her to Filipino Martial Arts, where she earned advanced instructor rank of Mandala in Pekiti Tirsia Kali, making her one of the few advanced women instructors in the system personally recognized by Grandtuhon Leopoldo T. Gaje, Jr. himself. While her competitive years were marked by intensity and discipline, today she teaches with wisdom and perspective, focusing on clarity, mentorship, and the deeper lessons martial arts can offer.
Teaching Philosophy:
• Delores believes martial arts is a lifelong path. She communicates with patience and precision, guiding students to grow not only in skill but in character. Her approach emphasizes wisdom, respect, and the understanding that every student’s journey is unique.
Community Contribution:
• She has coached athletes and continues to mentor martial artists across generations. She is one of the most enduring pillars of our community and the longest‑standing member whose presence has shaped its growth from the beginning. With a wealth of knowledge, she offers perspective, wisdom, and guidance that connect past achievements to future possibilities. Her role is not only as a teacher, but as a living link to the history and spirit of our martial arts family.
